Experience

A lifelong horror fan, they're a proud member of GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics and a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic. Their love of scary stories has led them to cover genre films at various festivals, including Fantasia International Film Festival, Overlook Film Festival, and Sundance. With a focus on subversive horror, their work has been published at Fangoria, Rue Morgue, Daily Dead, Dread Central, Marvel.com, Den of Geek, and more. Monthly, they co-host a podcast called Horror Hangover, where they conduct reviews, interviews, and deep dives into horror film history. Cass has been a martial artist for over two decades and loves to see film and television capture the art form authentically. In their spare time, they teach Taekwon-do to children.
Education
Cass has a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Suffolk University; later they expanded their love of worldbuilding to obtain an MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing from Emerson College.
